" The location is perfect. It’s in a decent neighborhood, only a couple blocks from Copacabana Beach. There are plenty of shops, markets, restaurants, and bars close by (one of my fave sports bars Mud Bug is right around the corner from the apartment) "

" The owner and management take great care of the apartment and make sure you have everything you need. The price was also fair and reasonable. "

" I rented this apartment a couple of times in the Spring of 2011. The place was awesome and exceeded my expectations. It was rented as a 1-br but was surprised to find a tiny 2nd bedroom (maid quarters) and a pull out couch in the living room, which was perfect since I had some friends staying in town for a couple days. "

" 301 is the nicest place, that I have stayed in Brazil. The neighborhood is good, and I have paid more money for less. 301 has a large HD television, and two small televisions in each bedroom. It has a DVD and CD player with a full kitchen. I have not gotten all of this at any other place in Brazil. ” (Levert, USA) "

"I recently rented this apt and it was as advertised. It was very clean, well put together. All the amenities that you would be used to having in your own place are in this apartment. Very close to the beach. Only 2 blocks away. Quiet street. Bars, botequims, restaurants on the street and within walking distance. The apartment is definitely worth the price asked. When the owner tells you that he puts his customers first, BELIEVE IT! Why? Well, I missed my flight back to the US and could not get another flight out until 3 days later. There were no hotels available in Rio at such short notice. I called the owner about 10pm that night and asked if the apartment was available. His Rio apt manager told me that it was but only for 1 night because he was having the floors re-finished. I decided to take the apt for the one night and would figure the rest out later. But when I arrived at the hotel, his apt manager told me that the owner decided to postpone the floor work and rent the apt to me for the entire three days! That is what "taking care of my clients" really means. Thank you so much! I am a client forever.

"The location is unbeatable, near Copacabana beach and in a very quiet and safe, as stated in the notice. Post photos reflect exactly like the apartment. The apartment owner is very friendly and answered all my questions quickly and solving all my doubts, I thank you for your kindness. The apartment was very clean and well kept with everything you need to have a good stay in it. Recommend to my best friend to stay in this apartment. Near the apartment there are supermarkets, restaurants and bars and is also near many subway and bus stops to visit anywhere in the city. If I visit Rio again will reserve this apartment." I was pleasantly surprised by both the amenities in my rental apartment as well as the courteous, professional service from the owner, property manager, and the doorman. Whenever I had a question, they responded quickly to inform or resolve the situation. The main benefit of this apartment is the location, two blocks from Copacabana Beach, one of the world's finest. There are plenty of places to eat well within walking distance and the building is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Other amenities include a good-sized flat-screen TV in the living room, with cable channels in both English and Portuguese. There is another TV in the bedroom, as well as an A/C unit. The full-service kitchen and half bathroom also come in handy for couples staying in the apartment. The next time I'm in Rio, I will stay in this apartment again.

This was a nice little apartment. Was as advertised. Modern and clean in some aspects, showing its age in others. Pop in a new shower head and it would get another star. It is in a great location near beach, on main road. Public transport right out the front door. Near everything, food, drink etc. Having a contact person in the same building was great. John handled the minor issues that came up immediately. Would and probably will stay here again.

A perfect place for a single traveler or a couple (there is a second "bedroom" but it is more like a maid quarters). The place is exactly as described and the photos match. The main advantage is the location - only two blocks from Copacabana in a surprisingly safe neighborhood (I read warnings about Copacabana before my trip but I felt completely safe walking around even after midnight - lots of people still around enjoying a late night drink). Several decent restaurants close by (I really liked Carretao), a supermarket only few blocks away. And the owner was a real pleasure to deal with - very responsive, all payment were arranged through VRBO using a credit card, my deposit was returned within few days without a hassle and I was allowed an early check-in. If I ever return to Rio, I would definitely try to rent this place again.

I had a great vacation. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable. The location is excellent. There is shopping and transportation including the subway nearby. The apartment has hard wood floors fresh colorful paint airconditioning and a flat screen TV. Washing machine and the kitchen appliances are easy to use. The location is just two short blocks from the beach. I will be returning to Rio de janeiro and my first step will be checking this apartments avialability. The owner is very nice and responds quickly to your questions. I have absolutely nothing negative to report. I will be back. Mervin Person

Me and my friend stayed at this property from Dec 5 - Dec 16, 2012 and our stay was amazing. It was alot more than we expected, very clean, furniture very nice and comfortable, close to beach and many great restaurants/shops. Everything was perfect. We had no issues with anything and the hotel staff was also very friendly/helpful with all of our inquiries. I would definitely come back and stay at this property when I return to Rio.

I stayed in this apartment for almost a month from Dec 2nd until Dec 28th, 2012. Very clean, comfortable and very well equipped. No surprises. The pictures and the video are very accurate. It is located in Posto 3 (same posto for Copacabana Palace Hotel). For you, this means more police around. It's safe and this posto is at the cleanest part of the Copacabana beach. If you are gluten free or like to buy Organic and local products, there is an Organic place where they sell health foods and gluten free products almost beside the property. They have some organic produce as well, so your health will not suffer even though you are on vacation. There is also a small grocery store where you can have your fresh produce of the day right beside the property. There's a gym very close to the place, 1-minute walk. The owner is absolutely a sweetheart and made sure everything was ok and always asked if I needed anything. The property manager is very sincere and quick, as we had a leak, and he was at the property in 30 minutes to check on the issue. I will always ask them if they have this property available on all of my future visits to Rio. This is my home away from home and it could be yours, too! The property was exactly as described, and pictures were completely accurate. Great location, friendly staff in the lobby, and excellent security. The property was clean and well maintained. I would definetly recommend this property to family and friends, and would return myself. Copacabana Beach is a short 5min walk away, lots of restaurants, cafes, bars, and taxis out front to take you anywhere you want to go,at very cheap prices. The best part about this property was the owner - extremely accommodating with us, helpful, friendly and knowlegdeable about Rio during Carnaval - which is when we stayed here. Thank you James, everything was fantastic!!!

Location, location, location. The apartment is in a great spot. A main street with everything you might need within a few minutes walk. Great restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and buses or a cab stop right out the front door. The Metro is also a quick seven- ten minute walk. The apartment is in clean and organized order and provides all you need for breakfast, lunch or dinner; not to mention entertainment to go along with any of them:CD's,DVD's or just good old TV. EVERYTHING in working order. There is a 24 hour doorman ready to help and always with a smile. Ask anything and they will try their best to help. I took my 82yr old mother and given the buzz in security entrance(standard for all apartment entrances, it seemed.) and personnel always waiting, we never felt unsafe. The same is to be said of the surrounding neighborhood that seemed to always be busy with people. Not enough thanks could ever be given to owner. Traveling with an older person can be challenging, but with their help everything seemed easier. My phone calls and emails were promptly and kindly returned.(Mother's Day wish sent Saturday night) They were quick with helpful suggestions even any last minute tweaking my itinerary for the day called for,for mom's comfort; as well as any tour information needed when we weren't feeling like having to doing everything on our own. The combination of a great apartment, in a great location with a very thoughtful and professional rental process, made our stay in Rio unforgettable. I will recommend this apartment to all my friends and you.

I chose this particular apartment because of the location and we were so happy that we did! It was 2 blocks away from Copacabana Beach, 2 blocks away from the Metro Stations, which was extremely helpful in our getting around! grocery stores and restaurants at your disposal as well, just around the corner! Safe and secure! The pictures are exactly how the apartment really is - no surprises at all! Very clean and kept up very nicely. The doorman and the owner went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! I would most definitely stay again. Property owner very professional and courteous! Customer service was his number 1 priority. Highly recommended for a trip to Rio! You will never regret it!

This apartment was so nice. It wasn't like, enormous. But the owners had thoughtfully put large attractive mirrors at different places to increase the feeling of size. Last year, we stayed in another apartment in Rio that felt like a corridor instead of a dwelling place. By contrast, this apartment felt spacious. The bed was comfortable. The living room couch and easy chair were comfortable. And we are really picky because we like good back support. I loved the small bedroom. From having lived for over a decade in Brazil, I know that a Brazilian would refer to it as maid quarters. If we had had one of our grandchildren (or children) with us, they would have loved the cozy "nook" feeling. The washing machine worked great. The appliances seemed very new. The fridge worked great as did the microwave. I can't comment on the stove because: We were only a couple of doors down from Estacao Sabor. I am sure it is the best pay-by-weight restaurant in all of Rio. This place has a marvelous array of fresh salads/fruits and vegetables, plus main course dishes. The desserts were out of this world. [Other pay-by-weight restaurants in the city that we tried had food that had obviously been overcooked, or had been sitting out for hours.] We were a very short walk from Copacabana Beach, a fruit and vegetable market, grocery stores and so on. WE FELT COMPLETELY SAFE the whole time. The staff/the porters who open and shut the building access door were so polite and friendly. There was a bit of street noise. We remedied this by shutting the living room window. We used the ceiling fans and never needed to turn on the air conditioner. Oh, and hot water from the taps. I just really really relaxed and felt at home in this place. Thanks, owners!
